I never really understood MMO's, all the big ones I know don't have a name change / appearance change. Well, unless you want to pay $15.00. You would think these kinds of things would be in launch, but eh, apparently its to hard of a concept.

That's ignorant to say. If they're already on your friends list then the changed name would still be there. I personally never kept friends on my friends list and could care less. This idea should have been implemented from day one.

Its not even 6 months, its like two years and 6 months.

/notsigned because if you're too stupid not to realize your name sucks by the time you put ~20 hrs into your character you should be stuck with it.

I would love this idea - I liked his name as a joke when I made him, but now with 100k+ invested in him, plus the time and effort, deleting and remaking is out of the question.

Please, Please, Please allow this!! Looking back I wish all of my characters had a part of their name that was the same and now it's too late! That would be an awesome option. The only thing is I wouldn't want to see people be able to change them too frequently. I'd also want my friends list to be updated with the new name instead of getting a "playername doesn't exist" error or something...

As there are 59 pages, I did not read the whole thread. My guess is that it is highly wanted. I /sign for this *if I didn't already O.o*. But until we get this, I shall state to all those who hate their character's name. Somehow, getting your friends to /report your character's name will allow you to change your name *after a 72 hour ban* so if you really hate your name, before your next vacation, get your friends to /report the names you no longer like.

I would love to see this happen. I would also like to be able to change my character's hair, face, and possibly even height. It has been many a time that I have made a character and then relized that the hair or face is weird under certain conditions, I would really like to be able to change that without starting a new character. If the name were to be changed I would like my friends list to be updated and there should be a way that people can't change their name more than like once a week or something like that. otherwise it could be really confusing and hard to keep track of people.

how ever this is a possible solution its a bad one because you could get normal names put on the list of inappropriate names.
